I will never be popular or successful in the system, the so-called “matrix.” I’ve never wanted to be a part of it, and I know that’s the reason why I’ll never fit into the mold they’ve created. I won’t be a lawyer, climbing the corporate ladder in a world that’s built on competition and legalese. I won’t be an engineer, building things that serve a system that I can’t trust, a system that’s broken and designed to sustain itself, regardless of the human cost. I won’t wear the ivy league diploma like a badge of honor because I reject that indoctrination. The minds that it shapes aren’t free—they’re confined, bound by expectations and rules that serve an agenda far beyond personal growth.

I’ll never be a famous social media personality. I’ll never belong to that world where worth is measured by likes, followers, and manufactured personas. I don’t fit into that space, and I don’t want to. It’s all an illusion, a distraction, and I’m not interested in participating in that shallow existence. Fame? It’s a concept I can’t respect. It’s a currency traded for personal autonomy and peace, and I don’t need it. I don’t want to be looked up to or idolized in a world where the rules of success are built on hollow ground.

Yes, I could become a doctor, but even if I had the knowledge, I choose alternative healing that nurtures the body without harming it. I could be a part of a broken healthcare system, but I don’t want to feed into it when it has such obvious flaws and injustices. A building might collapse if I don’t understand engineering, but at least I haven’t been part of the chain that drives children to mine for the minerals that build these structures, knowing full well the suffering it causes. I won’t be a cog in the machine, even if that means I’m not saving lives in the conventional way.

I’ll never be like Neo, bending the matrix to my will, because I don’t even want to play the game anymore. People may look at me and think I’m a failure, because I’m not playing by their rules. But I don’t think it’s a failure. It’s freedom. It’s the refusal to be a puppet in a system that thrives on manipulation and control. I may not be someone others look up to or admire in the way they define success, but I can live with that. I know that my worth isn’t tied to the world they’ve created, and I won’t be defined by it.

“I Will Never Be Their Definition”

Verse 1:
I won’t fit in their little box
I won’t follow their ticking clocks
They say I should be something great
But I don’t care about their fate

I don’t need their Ivy walls
Or their high-rise office halls
I’ll never wear their polished shoes
‘Cause I don’t play by their rules

Chorus:
I will never be their definition
I won’t follow their twisted mission
I’ll break the chains they tried to bind
I’m free, I’ll never change my mind

Verse 2:
They want me to sell my soul
Chase their dream, take that toll
But I’d rather burn this whole damn place
Than take part in their rat race

A doctor, a lawyer, a shining star
I’d rather be nothing than go that far
I’ll heal with my hands and leave them behind
I won’t be their fake design

Chorus:
I will never be their definition
I won’t follow their twisted mission
I’ll break the chains they tried to bind
I’m free, I’ll never change my mind

Bridge:
I’ll never bend, I’ll never break
I won’t pretend for heaven’s sake
I’ll live on my terms, not theirs
‘Cause I’m done with their empty stares

Chorus (x2):
I will never be their definition
I won’t follow their twisted mission
I’ll break the chains they tried to bind
I’m free, I’ll never change my mind

Outro:
I will never be their definition
I’m living my own damn condition
I’m free, I’m free, I’m free…
And that’s enough for me.
