This goes out to our Aussie audience, but others as well. I keep reading the media propaganda that opting out of an experimental vaccine in somehow selfish. That is completely against the basic human rights to choice over what happens to ones body.
Another false claim I keep reading is that the non-vaxxed are somehow dangerous to tou. How are the non-vaxed putting you at risk if you are vaccinated? The vaccine protects you, no?
Your government dangling the reopening as a reward to comply, which is a coercion and goes against the Nuremberg code. You also do not know that they will proceed to reopen the country, not with the way they are behaving – in Europe, it depended on who was in charge and where. In the UK, people were protesting the whole summer as they had been vaccinated to a majority, but the government didn’t want to end the lockdown at first. In Spain, the lockdowns ended as the cases went down. Several countries remained open with very low vaccination rates and are doing fine (Eastern belt), and several with high vaccination rates, and haven’t done so well at times (UK and Israel), while Sweden remained open even when not vaccinated and did not the best but not the worst either.
There has been more than half a year of data from Israel, the UK, the US, you can search for it.

The vaccines have recently been shown to cause myocarditis in some patients, in uncommon cases resulting in permanent injury or in heart attack and stroke. In the US, you can search the Vaers database yourself, to see the reported injuries and types of injury, there have been over 14,000 deaths associated with the vaccine (but not necessarily as the only reasons, the same way as the outcome of covid is correlated with comorbidities). The FDA said on Monday with an overwhelming majority vote of 16:2 that they will not be recommending boosters in under 65 year olds, as they calculated the cost of saving a life from covid to losing a life through the vaccines, as 1:2, through the official FDA meeting and numbers on: https://youtu.be/WFph7-6t34M
Everyone has to weigh their risk, depending on their age and comorbidities. However, imposing an experimental medical procedure against an individual’s consent is against the Nuremberg principles. This isn’t about being ‘selfish’, it is a persons right as stated by law. The Nuremberg codes have been put in place for exactly these sort of uncertain situations, for coercion not to happen and to protect the bodily rights of individuals.
The government deciding when they’d open the country is exactly that – a political question. Therefore, the burden of that decision lies in the government and not in its subjects.
More than 3/4 or 6 bio of the world has not yet received a vaccine shipment, even for the elderly (Source: Reuters vaccine tracker). Most of Africa and Central America is at 3% vaccinated. It’s up to a government at what % vaccinated they will decide to open up a country, Brasil reopened last week at 40% vaccinated, as long as the cities were covered by a majority. Other countries rely on early treatments such as Ivermectin which has proven effective in India, Mexico, Peru, South Africa, Panama, Czechia, Slovakia, Chile and are now using it in Japan and the Philippines as well (Source: FLCCC).
From an outsider’s perspective, it does not seem that the events over there are occuring from a medical standpoint only, from the arguments above.
As of August, lockdowns have been declared unconstitutional in Spain as they bring a heavy burden on the population in terms of economic, psychological and sociological question. The supreme court has ruled both lockdowns unconstitutional and any attempt in the future for any municipality will have to pass a parliamentary vote first. This comes as a result of examining the short and long term effects of the measures in proportion to the effects on the individual rights of people and as a society. It is not a straightforward matter.
